Relationship between educational research and educational innovation within the framework of Good Living

Abstract

Educational research is essential in the development of innovative practices. This affirmation arises from the process that has taken place in the National University of Education (UNAE), where in a first stage we build a conceptualization of educational innovation that responds to the philosophy of the institution, Good Living. From this conceptualization has derived an action plan that seeks to achieve objectives aligned to the mission of the institution. In this process, difficulties and challenges have arisen that require a continuous rethink and validate the proposed and implemented, a process based on educational research. The UNAE as a social proposal is itself an innovation; in this sense, it is necessary to build methodologies and ways that allow us to demonstrate this assertion. We will indicate how educational research can contribute to this, proposing a process of scientific research that supports an educational innovation, be it simple, as a didactic activity; common, such as teaching or complex performance, as a pedagogical proposal.
