Abstract

This article analyzes the configuration of the State, laws and public policies, in relation to women’s rights. It shows how the patriarchal and capitalist ideology has influenced the subordination of women and systematic violence, such as the exercise of male power, the same that directs and controls society. It presents the strength of the feminist movement, its strategies and the role in the conquest of rights, as well as the proposal to face the challenge of an emancipatory struggle that generates structural changes in society, a liberating process that eliminates all forms of discrimination and injustice against women, therefore integral transformations of society.
