The nut, the child and the cat

Abstract

That morning the cold of the season was creeping through the interstices of the old house. It was a place where memories had slowly settled in, as well as a large number of books, various items from out of time (such as fountain pens, typewriters, guitars and candy wrappers) photographs and paintings, toys and laughter, as well as purring and cat hair. The man got up from his desk, left his study and headed to the kitchen. The canteen announced that the water he had brought to the boil a few minutes earlier was now ready to filter through the ground grain and get the drink with which he stirred each morning and warmed his soul and thoughts.
