Abstract

It is necessary, moreover, to consider that the reading of reality precedes the reading of the spelling; that is, the reading of the world precedes the reading of the word. Therefore, the reading of the word cannot dispense with the surrounding world, which primitively coined its existence. Language and reality are related and juxtaposed in a dynamic and dialectic way. Let's put one more element, before taking up again the initial example that motivates these foundations. Signs, spelling and alphabets are not the only elements that have to do with reading, but body, iconic and musical languages. All of them have an important cultural charge, undoubtedly so varied for the case of Ecuador, which complicates much more its understanding and the incidence it achieves in the human being. Let us retrace our steps and take up the initial example. Reading is associated with punishment, as something we are obliged to comply with because we were not consistent with an initial request for behavior. The way to learn this wrongdoing is through reading and summarizing a text defined by the teacher. At that moment, the distance between the reader, reading, and the action of reading becomes immediately evident, and this communion is automatically broken, and we renounce reading as a source of learning and knowledge.
