Abstract

This article addresses the need for innovation in social science teaching in the digital age. From a case study, it tries to answer the question: how does web 2.0 affect the improvement of learning in the area of social sciences? Some experiences with Learning and Knowledge Technologies (LKT) in the learning of social sciences are presented schematically, in the subject Society and Culture, which is part of the curriculum of the specialized module of scientific knowledge of career leveling. A course of this nature, which levels out the learning of secondary school, requires the development of more comprehensive learning with high levels of understanding. Considering that the UNAE is a teaching university, the teaching-learning processes are oriented towards the profession. In this context, the need to innovate the classroom and its teaching-learning processes was considered. To this end, the web was used to 2.0, which implies going from Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to TACs. The latter constituted a dynamic element and a generator of cooperative, ubiquitous and connective learning, with excellent results with respect to the learning achieved and student satisfaction, which was reflected in the evaluations. The objective of this work is to socialize some experiences of incorporating TAC into the teaching-learning of social sciences at the UNAE, with the purpose of contributing to the development of didactics in this disciplinary area. The structure of the article includes methodology, results and discussion, including conclusions and final reflections.
