Abstract

The Book Bank is a Venezuelan institution created by and for reading that has been making reading a business for 56 years. In this journey, the mark of several generations has consolidated an institution with the capacity to rethink Venezuela, focused with dedication and perseverance on the formation of critical readers. Paraphrasing Carmen Diana Dearden, the Book Bank is an example of survival in diverse circumstances, due to its quality, adaptability and perseverance. A place of creativity and innovation; of teamwork and joy for what is done.
